CAFI gives dogs a second chance at a life by matching them up with families looking to provide love to new canine family members. CAFI provides rescue and rehabilitation services to cocker and other spaniel breeds in need by accepting and caring for qualifying dogs from shelters, owner surrenders or those left in our care by owners unable to reclaim them after coming to us through a TPS program. CAFI ensures all dogs receive age appropriate veterinary care including required shots, basic testing and spay/neuter procedures. CAFI dogs live in loving foster homes where they receive care, training and rehabilitation until they are ready to be placed in an approved permanent home.
Lady
Meet Lady. Lady is a gorgeous gal who was found as a stray. She is estimated to be about 5 years old, and she is a big girl (a little over 30 pounds). She is a happy and social girl who loves people. She knows the commands "sit", "down", "paw", "come", and she waits patiently -- well somewhat patiently -- to be told she can eat her food. She gets along well the other cockers in her foster home, and she enjoys all types of toys. She is housebroken and crate trained. She learned to use the doggie door in her foster home very quickly to run outside to play and chase squirrels, but she likes to walk to "potty". She really LOVES playing in the snow! She rides beautifully in a car. She does pull a bit when being walked on a leash. Lady is a healthy and happy girl. This girl is an absolute doll and will fit beautifully in an experienced dog family who can handle her rambunctious side. Lady is eager to find her forever home, and she would love to meet any interested parties!
